I plan the project, and I know how to build it.
Opening a location or rebuilding your IT takes more than choosing equipment. Someone has to work out what you need, explain the cost, coordinate the vendors, and make sure the finished system does what you bought it to do.
That is the work I do. I develop the design and proposal, organize the delivery, and lead the implementation. I also do the hands-on engineering.
Before changing a system, I want to know what depends on it. Which applications need to keep working? What is worth keeping? When can we make the change, and how do we get back if something goes wrong?
The whole project, not just the equipment.
The proposal should account for how everything will work together, who will install it, and what happens after the change.

I have spent approximately 27 years in technology. I have owned a technology business and been responsible for the budgets, employees, vendors, and customers. I also know the work inside the rack.
That experience helps me make recommendations that account for the technical problem and the business paying to solve it. When additional technicians or ongoing help desk coverage are needed, we plan those resources into the engagement.
